INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Two years after retiring, Olympic silver medalist Alicia Sacramone is headed back to the gymnastics world championships.
Sacramone was selected to the U.S. women's team for the Oct. 16-24 world championships in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on Wednesday night along with reigning world champion Bridget Sloan, U.S. champ Rebecca Bross, Mackenzie Caquatto, Chelsea Davis, Mattie Larson and Alexandra Raisman. National team coordinator Martha Karolyi will decide later which six gymnasts will compete and who will be the alternate.

Sacramone, who turns 23 in December, retired after helping the U.S. women win the silver medal at the Beijing Olympics. But she decided to return last year, and won her fifth U.S. vault title in August. Sacramone has won seven medals at worlds, including a gold on floor in 2005 and the 2007 team title.
